Sheera Recipe
Sweetened Whole Wheat Flour Porridge, Sprinkled With Coconut
- In a saucepan over medium heat, mix into a paste:
- 1 cup Indian whole wheat flour, or whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/2 cup + 2 TBS unsalted butter
- Sauté until slightly browned
- Add and stir well:
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Cover the pan and turn off the heat.
- Serve sprinkled with:
- unsweetened, shredded coconut
- Eat with a spoon
