Shankar Palla Recipe
Sweet Fried Dough
- In a shallow pan or bowl, mix by hand until very smooth (about 5 minutes):
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Add:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Use enough flour to make a very stiff dough, similar to rolled cookie dough. Roll out one-half of the dough at a time into a 12" circle. Cut into 1" diamonds.
- Deep-fry the pieces of dough in small batches (6-8) in a deep fryer or wok until browned.
- Serve with Dosa Chutney
