Cream of Wheat Halva Recipe
Thick Cream of Wheat Pudding with Milk and Nuts
- In a saucepan over low heat, cook together until lightly browned and dry (aobut 5-10 minutes):
- 1 cup uncooked cream of wheat
- 2 Tablespoons butter
,dt> Stir in, a small amount at a time:
- 1-1 1/4 cups room temperature milk or water
- Stir in:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 TBS raw or roasted almonds, in large pieces
- 1 TBS raw or roasted cashews, in large pieces
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 2 teaspoons ghee
- yellow raisins to taste (opt.)
- Cook, stirring continously, for about 2 minutes or until sticky.
- Eat with a spoon.
