|  | Spicy Popcorn RecipeSweet and Hot Seasoned Popcorn
 In a heavy-bottomed, six-quart saucepan (or larger), place:
 3-4 TBS vegetable oil
 several kernels popcorn
 When the kernels pop, add all at once:
 1/4 cup popcorn kernels
 Cover and pop, shaking frequently.
 Pour the popped corn into a large paper bag and add:
 1/2 teaspoon sugar
 1/4 teaspoon salt
 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
 pinch hot red pepper powder
 Shake and serve.
