Peanut Soup Recipe

Spicy Soup With Crushed Roasted Peanuts

Crush in a mortar and pestle, in a bag using a rolling pin, or briefly in a blender:
1 cup roasted peanuts
Mix together with the peanuts in a bowl:
1 TBS cumin/coriander powder
1-2 teaspoons hot red pepper powder
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
2 TBS fresh coriander leaves (cilantro), chopped
3 cups water
IN a saucepan, heat:
1 TBS vegeatable oil
pinch hing
1 teaspoon cumin/mustard, sesame seed mixture
When the seeds pop, add the peanut mixture. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and serve.
This goes well with corn chapatis and stuffed onions.
